Goth Flintstones!
(100% digital media —Frank Frankenstone & Weirdly Gruesome ™ & © Hanna-Barbera Productions)

As very probably you already know, some days ago Joe Barbera died.
As a homage, there's a LJ meme of Hanna-Barbera characters —you can check the entries to that meme over here.

As many other kids that grew up in the '80s,I watched and got inspired by lots of Hanna-Barbera cartoons.I'm still a fan of many of them, like Top Cat,the Superfriends,Secret Squirrel,Captain Caveman & The Teen Angels,The Flintstones and many others (yet I hated and still hate some others like Yogi Bear and Hong Kong Phooey —nobody's perfect I guess).
Anyway, speaking about the Flinstones —or Los Picapiedra as I always knew them— some of my favorite episodes were the ones that featured the Gruesomes (los Horrísonos). As already a fan the Addams Family reruns,it was a bit obvious that I ended up liking those creepy, goth cavemen.
Some time later,I became confused when in the newer shows the Gruesomes were not there and instead of them there were new creepy neighbors the Frankenstones (Los Frankenpiedra).
More confusing was the fact that Frank Frankenstone was the only caveman civilized enough to wear shoes —stone sandals actually but you get the idea.

So here's my tribute to the late Joe Barbera, with a stone age crossover I always tought would be cool to see.
